Lagunitas Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale pours a slightly hazy golden amber, with a large, pillowy white head stemming from the wheat malt that comprises 50% of the beer’s malt bill.
The nose on the beer is classic IPA, lots of pine and resin with some tropical fruit breaking through. The body is fairly light, and very smooth. Like the large head, the beer owes debt to the wheat malt for its smoothness. There’s a decent level of carbonation, which tickles the tongue beneath the beer’s velvety texture. The tropical fruit of the nose is the primary flavor profile that comes through with some yeast and bready malt underlying the fruit and resin. It finishes dry and slightly bitter.
If there’s a better warm weather beer out there, I’ve yet to find it. Dry, refreshing and quite tasty, this is definitely a good choice for a hot day.

Definitely a good beer. Delightful notes of grapefruit too.
